First Holy Communion (Eucharist)

2021 Eucharist Candidates Celebration Update

As a result of ongoing government restrictions, it is not possible to proceed with our planned First Holy Communion celebrations scheduled for October.

In consultation with our Religious Education Co-Ordinators, School Principals, Catechist Co-Ordinators and Parish Priest, it has been decided so postpone First Eucharist for 2021 children until early next year.
This will enable us to celebrate First Eucharist with families within Parish Masses.
Revised Reflection, Workshop and First Eucharist dates will be provided here as well as links for the relevant Permission Slips once new dates for 2022 have been set.

We anticipate news of further easing of restrictions so that our Churches can open once again.

Please Note: Sacraments may only be celebrated by those living within the
St Kevin’s Templestowe Parish Diocese.
We look forward to celebrating this important Sacrament with your child/ren. In the meantime, and to help with preparation, we encourage all families to visit our ‘Children’s and Family Page‘ where you will find weekly worksheets and links to a family style liturgy. We highly recommend you come back to Church.
The Sacrament of First Eucharist is a wonderful, family filled and joyous event.
If you had booked your child/ren for First Eucharist for 2021, it will not be necessary to complete another Registration Form.
If you would like your child to receive the sacrament of Holy Communion next year (new), please contact the Parish Office on 9850 5983 or email us on
